Server software in Yggdrasil / Re: How to host few websites o...

You can add static IPv6 addresses on 300::/8 range on you network/interfaces, then you have the addresses.
Now you use docker containers to run the many sites, for each container, in docker run you can specify bind address:
docker run -p [ipv6]:80:80 ... so the container will expose port 80 for specific ipv6 address, you can use as many as you want. To avoid port conflict, ensure that there is no application on port 80 of host machine

If you ssh to a server running Yggdrasil, you can use -D1080 flag in ssh to specify a ssh tunnel to do dynamic connections to the server. It is exactly how a socks5 protocol (without authentication) works, so the Firefox will access yggdrasil sites though this proxy.

you need to add a DNS server address that serves .ygg domains, like the ones listed in services page.
You can test using dig (Linux)
The command from package dnsutils:
dig @324:71e:281a:9ed3::53 website.yggreturns a record SOA    ns.alfis.name. ... meaning it serves .ygg domains

I use to get a public-like IPv6, bypassing NAT and firewalls in a fashion way, also it is easy to install and configure (unlike TOR and I2P, that is needed to create one address for each program).

It is like a free and public VPN to access my machines.

maybe my install is broken, but in the past ive only been able to access direct ipv6 addresses (the ones in square brackets) and never ones that are proper urls. im about to try to install alfis, which is pretty ridiculously not mentioned on any of the guides but seems to be the porgrma i need. right now my install also isnt accessing ipv6 pages either, but thats a different problem and im still working on it :P

The network map says it was last updated 112,461 minutes ago, or 78 days.  Is something wrong with it?

I use it to access my LAN services over the internet works very well with iptables to whitelist my devices and friends yggdrasil ips, also because of the e2ee nature I did not have to add a dns + cert (IE: the worst thing ever) to my jellyfin instance (=
